To provide someone with a full placement folder, whether it's for the placer, the client, ... the water arrivals, the power outlets, the output wires and the other technical constraints must be in the correct places on the designs and the elevations.
These particular objects are can all be found in the '''@TECHNICAL SYMBOLS''' catalogue.

Place yourself in the wireframe elevation perspective to place a power outlet that will be displayed via its technical symbol. To do this:

In order to display information about your scene, you have the option of placing text in InSitu.  
 
To do so, go to '''Place | Text'''
 
A window will appear, where you can fill in your text and change the font or colour.


The text will appear in the centre of your scene. You can then move it like any other object on InSitu.  
1. Choose the catalogue named '''@TECHNICAL SYMBOLS'''.  


2. Choose the block named Outlet 10A in the list of blocks area

3. Enter the distance in the "L" text box to specify the distance between the centre of the outlet and the left end of the wall.


Placing an arrow can help you highlight a space so that you can put text outside of the shape itself.  
If you know the distance between the technical symbol and the right end of the wall, you should fill in this information in the "R" text box.

The first mouse click indicates the beginning of the arrow and the second indicates the end.  
4. Note that the value of 400 represents the default outlet placement height and that you can change it for your preferred value.  


5. Confirm by clicking on the "Place" button or by pressing on ENTER.


 
If you are not trying to place it very precisely, then you can use the "drag and drop" technique to place your technical symbol.

The elevation symbol is used to see and work on 2D elements from the front. There are three ways to see an element from the front :
1 - Selecting an object (clicking on the inner edge), then going to '''View | Realistic or wireframe perspective'''
2 - Selecting a wall (clicking on the inner edge), then going to '''View | Wireframe or realistic elevation'''. By double clicking on walls, you will immediately be put into the realistic perspective.


3 - Placing an elevation symbol, which will allow you to elevate an object or a group of objects, and then via '''View | Wireframe or realistic view'''.
<p class="encadrer">If you want them to stand out more, then you can change the color of the technical symbol reminder lines
 
To do so, select a technical symbol and right click on it, the click on attributes and modify the colour. To change all the technical symbol reminder lines, don't forget to select "Paste style" on "All". This window also allows you to modify the placement height. Once again, don't forget to select "Paste height" on "All" if you want it to be applied to all the symbols.</p>
In order to place this elevation symbol, you must click on the '''Place''' button and then '''Elevation symbol''' in the ensuing drop down menu. It takes three clicks to place it: the two first to define the elevation area and the third one to determine the depth.

Placing technical symbols

To provide someone with a full placement folder, whether it's for the placer, the client, ... the water arrivals, the power outlets, the output wires and the other technical constraints must be in the correct places on the designs and the elevations. These particular objects are can all be found in the @TECHNICAL SYMBOLS catalogue.

Place yourself in the wireframe elevation perspective to place a power outlet that will be displayed via its technical symbol. To do this:

1. Choose the catalogue named @TECHNICAL SYMBOLS.

2. Choose the block named Outlet 10A in the list of blocks area

3. Enter the distance in the "L" text box to specify the distance between the centre of the outlet and the left end of the wall.

If you know the distance between the technical symbol and the right end of the wall, you should fill in this information in the "R" text box.


4. Note that the value of 400 represents the default outlet placement height and that you can change it for your preferred value.

5. Confirm by clicking on the "Place" button or by pressing on ENTER.
